"Camera Illuminata" is an ephemeral installation conceived as a device for sensitive and conscious engagement with the landscape. It stems from a desire to renew our often inattentive daily gaze toward the environment, restoring value and meaning to what is too frequently taken for granted.

The work takes the form of a simple, essential architectural structure, imbued with poetic and conceptual intent. Inspired by the camera obscura but opposite in function, the "Camera Illuminata" does not capture images or freeze time: it FRAMES and isolates INDIVIDUAL fragments of the landscape, offering a unique, subjective, and temporary experience of contemplation. Its objectives—horizontal, vertical, and zenithal—guide the visitor to observe details that might otherwise go unnoticed: a solitary tree, the shape of clouds, a mountain silhouette, or a distant village. In this way, the installation becomes a tool for awareness, a lens for reflection, and a pedagogical gesture on our relationship with the environment.

"Camera Illuminata" is not merely a physical space but a space of ascension—an invitation to slow down, CHANGE our perspective, and engage in contemplation. It is a gesture of resistance to indifference, a proposal to relearn how to “see” and “feel” the landscape as a living, composite, and ever-evolving organism.

Ultimately, the installation functions as a perceptual laboratory and a place for active meditation, where the gaze regains centrality and the landscape speaks once more, WITHOUT UTTERING A WORD.
